INA, Ill. (January 2, 2025) — The Athletic department has named Carly Foster and Haley Dillman, Women’s Basketball, our December Student Athletes of the Month. The Lady Warriors sophomore duo of Carly Foster and Haley Dillman have led the team in every statistical category this season. Foster, from Ridgeway, IL, leads the way averaging 18.5 points per game, while Dillman, from Shephardsville, KY, chips in almost 16 per game. Dillman, who is 8th nationally in defensive rebounds, leads the team in rebounding with 8.6, while Foster pulls down 6.7 per game. The two have shouldered much of the load averaging over 35 minutes played per game, good for the top 15 nationally. They both very good at the free throw line as well, Dillman shoots them at an 83.9 clip while Foster is at 78.3.
“Haley and Carly have played so well, and we are looking for big things out of those two the rest of the way. They both just bring some many good things to the floor each night out and make everyone else around them better as well,” said Head Coach Mike Helton.
The student athlete of the month is given each month to recognize our athletes on and off the field. The winner’s picture will be on display at the entrance of the REC for all of those who come into workout or practice.
