The National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Women's Basketball Committee recently announced the accolades and Buford (St. Louis, Mo.) was among 50 athletes recognized. Buford’s contributions led to a strong turnaround for the RLC Women’s Basketball program during the 2019-20 season. The Lady Warriors improved to 16-14 a year after finishing with a 4-23 record. The team had a strong postseason showing as well, advancing to the Midwest District title game where they fell to Wabash Valley College. It was the first time the Lady Warriors competed for a district title since 2006-07.

The All-American honors top off what has been a successful run of postseason accolades for Buford. She was named the Midwest Region Freshman of the Year and earned a First Team selection on the All-Region team. After leading the Great Rivers Athletic Conference in scoring, Buford was named First Team All-Conference as well.

Buford recently signed with the University of Colorado in Boulder and will play for the Buffaloes next year.
