INA, Ill. (May 28, 2024) – Rend Lake College alumni Blaze Greathouse has announced that he will be continuing his golf career at Missouri Baptist University in Fall 2024. 

RLC is excited to see Greathouse (Mt. Vernon) continue his golf career as a Spartan at MBU where he'll continue to major in business and join former Warrior Sam Beggs (Class of '23). Greathouse proved to be an invaluable member of the team at RLC. As a prep, Greathouse was a 10-time tournament medalist, three-time First-Team All-South 7 Conference and IHSA State Finalist as a Ram at Mt. Vernon Township High School.

"I first off want to thank God for the many opportunities he has blessed me with," Greathouse said. "I’m so thankful for all the support I’ve received from family, friends, Rend Lake College, Coach Phillips and Coach Rhine. I’m so proud to have called myself a Rend Lake Warrior. I am also so thankful to Coach Hoagland for offering me the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at MBU."

"From building his own high school team at Mount Vernon to being a consistent and reliable #3 player for us this year, Blaze continues to improve and impress," says Head Coach Corey Phillips. "He has a tireless work ethic and is a great team player. It has really been a joy to have Blaze in our program these last two years. He's the first player I ever signed as head coach and I'll always remember that as a great decision. MOBAP is getting an outstanding young man."
