INA, Ill. (January 26, 2023) — Rend Lake College is proud to announce the signing of Jake Williams to the men's golf team for the Fall 2023 season. Williams, a highly decorated young player from Hawarden High School in Wales, brings a wealth of tournament experience to the Warriors.

As the individual winner of the Flintshire County Boys Championship and a member of several competitive teams, Williams is no stranger to success on the golf course. He shares the course record at Mold Golf Club in North Wales and is a member of the North Wales Boys 1st Team, Mold Golf Club Scratch Team, and Flintshire County 1st Team.

"He is a tremendous addition to our roster," said Corey Phillips, RLC Men's Head Golf Coach. "His tournament golf experience will outrank most all of his peers. As a member of several teams associated with his county and home club, he is used to competing in big team events which will undoubtedly help our team this Fall."

Jake is the second Fall 2023 signing for the Warriors men's golf team this winter, joining Nick Melvin from Benton. Additional signings for the Fall 2023 roster are expected to be announced soon. The Warriors will begin their Spring 2023 season at the "Ron Marshall Spring Fling" to be held at the Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama on March 6th and 7th.
