INA, Ill. (July 8, 2019) - Welcome the new faces coming to the plate (and the mound) for the Warriors during the 2019-20 season.

Dylan Schneider

Dylan Schneider is a standout pitcher from McCracken County High School. He finished last year 7-1 with a pair of saves, 59.2 total innings pitched, only giving up 57 hits, 11 earned runs, 17 base on balls to his whopping 52 strikeouts and 1.29 ERA. 

Awards- 2018 co-team pitcher of the year, 2019 co-team pitcher of the year, 2018 All-Purchase Team pitcher, 2019 All-Purchase Team pitcher, 2018 All-District Team, 2019 All-District Team, 2019 All-Region Team, 2019 Pre-KHSAA All-State. And, the Mustangs finished 2019 as State Runners-Up.

Jacob Ehling pitching

Jacob Ehling joins the Warriors from McCracken County High School. He made 17 appearances with the Mustangs, posting an 8-1 record with four saves, 64.2 innings pitched. Ehling’s opponents had just 44 hits and 18 free passes compared to 62 punch-outs and an astronomical 0.86 ERA.

Ehling helped lead his team to their first State Tournament Championship Game, and outdueled “Kentucky’s Mr. Baseball” in the State Tournament quarter-final game to get there.

Awards: KHSBCA Pre-Season All-State, Biokenetics Player of the Week, Paducah Sun Player of the Week, Region 1 Impact Player, All-District Team, Region 1 Tournament MVP, KHSAA All-State Tournament Team, KHSBCA Second Team All-State, All Purchase Team Pitcher, McCracken County High School Most Outstanding Pitcher and MVP

Joey Selvaggio hitting

Joey Selvaggio comes to RLC by way of Lincoln-Way East High School. In 90 plate appearances last season, he hit .292 with 15 walks, 18 runs, 15 RBIs and a .400 OBP.

Mason Libla

Mason Libla is a four-year varsity letterman out of Poplar Bluff High School. During his senior year, Libla had a .404 batting average with a 1.401 OPS, notching eight home runs. He helped take the Mules to the Missouri Class V Final 4.   

Libla also played for the Madisonville Miners Collegiate Summer team over the 2019 summer season.

Awards: 3x All-District and 3x All-Conference. He was also selected to the All-Conference Team three years.       

Off the diamond, Libla was a three-year varsity football letterman at Poplar Bluff and played quarterback during his senior year, leading the team to a perfect 9-0 season. 

Kyle Hetherington

Kyle Hetherington is a slugger from Crystal Lake South High School. During his senior season, Hetherington hit .350 with .570 slugging, .507 OBP, 1.077 OPS. He posted nine doubles, a pair of triples and three home runs during his senior campaign.

Awards: Academic All-Conference Team, All-Conference Team and First Team All-Area.

Weston Brockhouse

Weston Brockhouse helped anchor the Mt. Vernon Rams staff during the 2018-19 season. He had a sterling 7-2 record with a blistering 0.77 ERA.

Awards: South 7 Conference Pitcher of the Year and SICA All-South

Sam Shrode

Sam Shrode joins Rend Lake from Evansville Harrison High School.

Billy Beckham

Billy Beckham was an asset for MVTH not only in the batter’s box but on defensive side of the ball as well. Beckham hit .322 with .479 OBP, .588 SLG and 1.068 OPS. He tallied 29 hits and four homeruns. Fielding: .914 PA, 65 PO.

Awards: First Team All-Conference Infield and Defensive Player of the Year. 

Camron Green

Camron Green is another Evansville Harrison High School product joining the Warriors.

Hunter Knierim, of Terra Haute, Ind. was a threat with a bat and on the mound. He had a high school career ERA of .75 over 49 innings pitched. Offensively, Knierim hit .420 in 29 games and tallied 49 RBIs.

Awards: All-Conference

Brock Moore

Brock Moore is a 6’6, 260 lbs RHP out of Carmel, Ind.

Bryar Riley

Bryar Riley went 7-3 over 58 innings for Caldwell County Ky. In his senior year, he had a 2.70 ERA and tallied 60 strike outs while only walking 16.

Awards: 2019 District Runner-Up and 2019 Region Runner-Up; 2018 District Champs

Kelby Golladay batted .475 with one home run and seven doubles with the MacArthur High School. He had a .573 OBP, .644 SLG and 1.217 OPS. From the mound, he recorded 84 strikeouts over 41.2 innings of work and had a 3.024 ERA.

Awards: CS8 All Conference

Aaron Agee is another dual threat joining the Warriors. With Maroa-Forsythe High School, Agee hit .333 with a .397 OBP, .829 OPS and .450 SLG. He hit 13 singles, seven doubles, drove in 14 and drew five walks, all while posting a paltry eight strike outs.

From the mound, Agee tossed 47 innings with a 5-2 record. His stat line reads: SV- 1, H- 28, R- 16, ER- 9, BB- 12, SO- 67, HBP- 7, ERA- 1.340, WHIP- .894, LOB- 42, PIK- 2 and BAA- .165

Awards: First-Team All-Sangamo Conference and High Honor Roll 3/4 quarters with a 4.3 GPA
