The Region XXIV Crown is back at The Lake!

Rend Lake College baseball won its first NJCAA Region XXIV Championship in 11 years. The Warriors, under Head Coach Tyler O'Daniel, took two of three games from the John A. Logan Volunteers, securing the title with a 9-6 win over JALC on May 13, 2019.

  • Rend Lake College Warriors Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over John A. Logan College Volunteers

  • CARTERVILLE, Ill. (May 13, 2019) — Rend Lake College Warriors defeated John A. Logan College Volunteers 9-6 thanks to a strong start. Rend Lake College Warriors scored on a double by Bo Minor, a single by Jake Wylie, a double by Nathan Bynum, a home run by Riley Cain, and a home run by Wyatt Pratt in the second inning.
  • Rend Lake College Warriors  earned the victory despite allowing John A. Logan College Volunteers to score four runs in the first inning. John A. Logan College Volunteers's big inning was driven by a walk by Cooper Trinkle, a single by Hunter Combs, and a groundout by Ashton Creal.
  • Rend Lake College Warriors  pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning. In the second Minor doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Wylie singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Bynum doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Cain homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs, and Pratt hit a solo homer.
  • Blake Jones was credited with the victory for Rend Lake College Warriors . He went five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one. Caleb Reinhardt and Grant Jausel entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Logan College Volunteers trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Ashton Creal homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

The game was tied at six with Rend Lake College Warriors  batting in the top of the ninth when Blake Wolferding's sac fly scored one run for Rend Lake College Warriors.
